We had left London for a couple of days this weekend, and we have come back to our home town in Spain. Weather was amazing, we had eat more than ever and the best part, thousands of laughs with the family. Proof of that are these pictures.
You were wondering when we took them, and it was in Alicante. It is one of the most important touristic destinations in the Spanish east coast. You will fell in Love from its beautiful beaches like “Playa del Postiguet” or “Playa del Saladar”,” The Santa Barbara Fortress”, the “Explanada de España”across from the port or its lovely food, of course.
It is also land of traditions like Moors and Christians festivities, or the most important one is Noche de San Juan (the Night of Saint John) on the 24th of June. The main features of this festivity are the bonfires. As a tradition, ninots (papier-mâché effigies or rag dolls), which had been exhibited on the street of the capital city during the previous days, are burned at the stake on this night.
I recommend you do not leave the city without trying delicious rice dishes like “arroz Negro” , “Arroz a banda” “arroz al horno”……
Obviously the beautiful weather will let you enjoy the city much more.
Have you been already? which is the most you loved from the city, if not is another place to ad to your wish list? If you thinking to come, you can book your hotel here and what about if you share your experience with us
Have a lovely one!!!
